This oval agate cameo was made by Johann Georg Klett in the second half of the 18th century Germany. This cameo depicts an allegorical subject with figures holding a caduceus and cornucopia. Johann Georg Klett was appointed court gem-engraver at Dresden in 1755; he carved numerous cameos and intaglios representing mythological subjects.
