This silver marriage medal depicts a two seated figures, a bridegroom placing a ring on the hand of his bride; a landscape with the sunrise behind and the word 'SEMPER', meaning 'Always'. On the reverse there is a landscape with a fountain surmounted by a cupid and an oak-tree wreathed with ivy in the foreground. The medal is stamped on the edge with the word 'Argent' meaning money.
