Object history | The image of the dead man's emaciated hand is from a photograph by Ghislain Bellorget in Vietnam in 1968. The image puns on the famous 'Uncle Sam' recruitment poster of 1915. The same image is repeated on E.3274-1991, which may be a proof for the sleeve/poster. |
