Wallpaper 'Winter' About 1850 Decorative wallpaper panels of this kind were meant to imitate relief sculptures. They would have been framed by papers printed to imitate moulded borders. This example is one of a series of four depicting The Seasons. France, Paris: probably manufactured by E. Delicourt. Colour print from woodblocks Museum No. E.86-1937 Given by Mr William McEwan through the Wall-Paper Manufacturers.
