Object history
The Church of St. John the Evangelist, Farncombe (1847-8) was designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott. The Church Warden's Accounts for 1888 indicate that "A Caen Stone Reredos with panels and mosaic was placed in the Chancel (the cost of which including the Architect's Fee was œ122.2.0)."
