Place of origin |
A woodcut printed in black on white paper depicting a satirical image of a woman in an operating theatre giving birth. The woman is laid out on the operating table and has a very pained expression on her face. To the left of her a doctor is holding up a baby with forceps, another is clutching the woman's hand whilst thrusting a gas mask towards her whilst a hospital sister looks up at the woman holding her hands in prayer. Another doctor, who appears to be threading a needle, is standing to the right of the woman.
