Brush washer of porcelain, in the form of cylindrical bowl on six small feet. Decorated with applied moulded design in relief and painted in red, blue and green unfired pigments and gilt. On one side, a princely figure seated at a table with four attendants; on the other, the god of literature (Kui Xing). Between the two are bosses, containing the Chinese characters for longevity (shou) and happiness (fu).
