Jar and lid of porcelain, guan-shaped with globular body, short neck and spreading foot; domed lid with a lotus-bud shaped knob. Painted in red, green and yellow overglaze enamels, with scenes depicting family life of an official. Below, diapers of overlapping petals and of panels. Above, bands of peony scrolls and formal lotuses. On the lid, two bands of floral scrolls, on one of which are panels containing mystic knots. Base flat and unglazed.

Physical description
Jar and lid of porcelain, guan-shaped with globular body, short neck and spreading foot; domed lid with a lotus-bud shaped knob. Painted in red, green and yellow overglaze enamels, with scenes depicting family life of an official. Below, diapers of overlapping petals and of panels.
