Beer jug of salt-glazed stoneware painted with enamels, and pear-shaped with a wide spreading mouth, and loop handle of flattened section, and painted under the lip with a portrait of Prince Charles Edward, the Young Pretender, in Highland dress, and inscribed 'P C', in a rococo-scrolled frame between two large sprays of thistles and pink roses, and with borders in pink and green diaper and flowers, and at the base and top of the handle are red foliate scrolls.
