Tea canister and cover of ‘Pearlware’ lead-glazed earthenware painted in high temperature underglaze colours (‘Pratt-ware’) and press-moulded. On one side is depicted a gentleman in an exaggeratedly high wig with his servant standing beside him, and on the other side is a similarly caricatured lady and her servant.
