This is a white marble cross made in the 12th century Venice. This cross is carved in low relief and there is a circular compartment filled with the Hand of the Almighty blessing between the sun and a crescent moon in the middle. Above and below are acanthus leaves on curling stems.

There is a very similar cross, but with the arms, in the Church of San Tommaso del Borgognoni at Torcello.
