On the reverse there is a wreath of wheat and vine with birds and heads of domestic animals. An inscription states that it is a medal of contest from the Seine region.

Medal, silver, struck from a die; 'médaille de concours du département de la Seine.' Obv. Female head to left, representing Agriculture. She wears a garland of wheat ears and has a sickle bound in her hair. Signed DANIEL DVPVIS. Rev. A wreath of wheat and vine with birds and heads of domestic animals. Signed J.L. Stamped on the edge 'Argent'.
