Production
This tracing was made for the preparation of a lithograph that appeared as plate 67 in Volume II of the Egypt section of The Holy Land: Syria, Idumea, Arabia, Egypt and Nubia published in 1846. The tracing was originally taken from a thread-sewn album with paper covers entitled Drawings and tracings of Oriental subjects of figures, cattle, boats etc. Alexandria, Gaza, Palestine, Egypt and Nubia By David Roberts.
