Artist/Maker
Place of origin

The image is based upon the artist's own experience of Auschwitz and it shows an abstract vision of a boy or man set amongst the buildings and chimneys of the concentration camp. The lettering in Hebrew, that appears in the smoke from the chimneys, is a passage from Jeremiah (ch.1 v.8), 'For I am with thee to deliver to deliver thee, Saith the Lord', which the Nazis pinned up in banner form over the gates to taunt the inmates.
