Item Provenance: Provenance: Mrs Barbara Edwards, the artist's daughter

Notes: Rackham was commissioned to design Basil Dean's production fo Humperdinck's opera Hansel and Gretel at the Cambridge Theatre, London, Christmas 1933. He used sketches he had made in Denmark in 1931.
