This silver medal depicts Engelbert Maas, a bareheaded figure wearing a ruff. Maas was the President of the Privy Council of the Archduke Albert, Governor of the Netherlands. On the reverse there is a figure of Moderation, holding a lion on a chain in her right hand, and a lamb on a cord in her left hand.

Bust to right, bareheaded, wearing a ruff. On the truncation . AET. LXXXVI. Rev.: MODERATA. DVRANT. Figure of Moderation, holding by a chain a lion with her right hand, and by a cord a lamb with her left. Signed AWA F.
