The 9th Kanazawa Sculpture Exhibition

Poster
1989 (designed and printed)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

Poster advertising a sculpture exhibition. The poster is composed of inventive typography. The word 'sculpture' is spelt out across the poster in green, brown, beige, blue, orange and pink. Each letter is fragmented horizontally into three parts and spaced out so that the pieces of the letters appear to be falling down the poster. The bottom sections of the letters are depicted resting on grey rectangles which suggest sculptures resting on plinths.
