This bronze medal was struck to commemorate the sixtieth year of Queen Victoria's reign. The obverse depicts the Queen while the reverse bears the inscription GOD BLESS OUR QUEEN NEW ZEALAND. There is also a shield of arms of the colony surrounded by a wreath. Above there is the Royal Arms while at the side there are medallions with the number 60.

Medal, bronze, struck from a die. Obv: VICTORIA QUEEN. AND. EMPRESS TO COMMEMORATE THE 60TH YEAR OF HER MAJESTY'S REIGN. Crowned and laureated bust of Queen Victoriato left. Signed F. Bowcher. F. Rev. GOD BLESS OUR QUEEN NEW ZEALAND. A shield of the arms of the colony surrounded by a wreath; above, the Royal arms; at the sides, medallions with the number 60. Signed SPINK, LONDON.
