"ERTÉ (pseudonym of Romain de TIRTOFF) (born 1892)
Design for costumes for 'Le Guadalquivir' in the revue Les Fleuves, produced at the Folies Bergère, Paris, 1923. .
Signed in ink Erté. Inscribed in ball-point on the back with title and date.
Gouache, gold and metallic paint. E.18-1968
Purchased from the funds of the Gabrielle Enthoven Bequest
Note: This design was No.72 in the exhibition of Erté's work held at the Grosvener Gallery, London, 19 September to 14 October 1967."
