Anonymous Anti-clericalism was common to all communards. Not only were large numbers of priests imprisoned for 'vagrancy’ but churches were also taken over to house Red Clubs. Wood-engraving, coloured by hand. From a series of at least 12. E.1421-1962(27/05/1971-10/10/1971)

Historical context
Vicious anti-clericalism was common to all Parisian communards. Not only were large numbers of priests imprisoned for 'vagrancy' but churches were also taken over to house Red Clubs.
