Place Of Origin |
Design for silk fabric, probably for a tie. The design was made some time in the period 1947 to 1965 by Oskar Ehrenzweig, a Vienna-born designer who moved to London in 1938. The design is small (75mm square) and gives the impression of being printed, but in fact it is painted with immense precision in gouache.
