Object history | This excellent drawing came to the Museum under the name of André Bakst (Léon's son). When it was exhibited in Edinburgh in 1954, Ifan Kyrle Fletcher attributed it to Léon Bakst himself and connected it with Stravinsky's opera Mavra, for which the décor was eventually designed not by Bakst but by Leopold Survage. |
