Teapot and lid of porcelain. The teapot has a barrel-shaped body, loop handle and curved spout. The lid had a flat top with blue cone-shaped knob. Painted in overglaze enamels and gilt on either side of the body, between two rows of studs in relief, is an oblong panel. One contains a phoenix among peonies growing on a rock, the other two ducks among lotus-flowers and foliage. The lid is painted with conventional peonies, and sprays of other flowers decorate the handle and spout.

Physical description
