Bowl of porcelain, painted in underglaze blue and overglaze pink enamel with the Eight Daoist Immortals crossing the sea. The figures are in blue and are represented floating on various attributes amid waves which are painted in pink. Inside in a medallion is Shou Lao (Star god of longevity) accompanied by a deer with a fungus in its mouth. Outside are the Eight Immortals, Zhongli Quan holding a peach, on a lion, Li Tieguai holding a gourd from which his spirit issues, on a dragon, Lan Caihe carrying a spade and a basket of flowers on a carp, Han Xiangzi playing a flute, on a crayfish, Cao Guojiu on a reed, tossing a pair of castanets to Zhang Guolao who rides on a bamboo tube and rods, Lu Dongbin girt with a sword and accompanied by an evil genius on a lotus-leaf, He Xiangu carrying a lotus-flower on a leaf.

A similar bowl in the Museum of Eastern Art, Oxford bears the Jiaqing mark (1796-182).
