Satirical print in which a woman (symbolising Paris) stands holding a flag, as men fire guns over a wall at Adolphe Thiers and Jules Favre, in Prussian helmets, as they approach with the regular army to crush the Commune. On the reverse of the print is the lower part of E.1399-1962. Print from a set of caricatures, broadsheets and illustrations in ten volumes. Each volume is half-bound in red leather, gold tooled and stamped with imperial emblems, title etc.
