Physical description
Satirical print in which two men are shown in discussion over a desk. The man on the right is seated and wearing spectacles; the man on the left is standing, holding his hat in his right hand. On the desk are papers and an inkstand. Print from a set of caricatures, broadsheets and illustrations in ten volumes. Each volume is half-bound in red leather, gold tooled and stamped with imperial emblems, title etc.

Everyone who had somewhere else to go left Paris as soon as possible after the signing of the armistice. Permits had to be obtained from both French and German authorities to begin with, but later these controls were relaxed.
