A silver badge in the centre of which there is an enamelled shield of arms, supported on one side by a nude man holding a paddle, and on the other by a nude woman with her foot on an urn, from which water is flowing. Behind the former is an oak branch, and about the latter an olive branch, both of which are bound to a standard passing behing the shield and commemorated by a laurel wreath, and a cartouch having the letters R F on a blue enamel ground. A scroll at the bottom bears the following legend CONSEIL GENERAL DU RHONE.
