This silvered bronze medal depicts Baron Camille de Rochetaillée and celebrates his donations to the church of St Just. The medal depicts a girl in flowing drapery who offers a model of a church to Jesus Christ, who bears on his breast a flaming heart; beneath the church and amid clouds is a winged head of angel. The head of the angel is a portrait of the child in whose memory the church was built.

Physical description | Medal of silvered bronze, struck from a die. Obv.: portrait to left of Baron Camille de Rochetaillée; below, a band and a cartouche; the former contains the words QVI NVNQVAM IMMEMOR. The legend is as follows: BARON CAMILLE DE ROCHETAILLÉE ÉDIFIE ET OFFRE L'EGLISE AU SACRÉ COEUR DE JÉSUS. Rev.: a girl in flowing drapery offers a model of a church to Jesus Christ, who bears on his breast a flaming heart; beneath the church and amid clouds is a winged head of angel. At the back of the female figure is a cross, with the words FOI CHRETIENNE; an anchor lies at its foot. The legend reads 'L'EGLISE DE ST JUST EN CHEVALET A ÉTÉ CONSACRÉE PAR S.E LE CARDINAL FOULON ARCHEVÊQUE DE LYON LE 5 SEPTEMBRE 1892. L GUINOT ARCHITECTE. Signed on both sides, 'Louis Bottée.' The head of the angel is a portrait of the child in whose memory the church was built. |
