In the exergue is a winged nude figure blowing a trumpet, to which is tied a ribbon with the word LIBERTÉ. The legend reads, RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE. Rev.: A cartouche with an olive-branch behind; the legden is as follows: CONSEILS MUNICIPAUX 1892-1896. LE 'MEDAILLIER' ÉDIT. DÉPOSÉ. Signed 'Ls Bottée.'
