Physical description
Candlestick, of smoke-stained glazed hard-paste porcelain, formed as a figure of a gardener with flowers standing in front of a tree on a high pedestal covered with applied flowers and supported on symmetrical rococo scrolled feet; he carries a plant in a flower pot under his right arm, and the trunk of the tree forms a support for the candle nozzle, which is missing

One of a pair of candlesticks with 414:689/A-1885 (Sch. I 685A)
Lady Charlotte Schreiber purchased the pair from Captain Lee's sale, Christie's, for £19 8 shillings 6 pence in June 1873.
