The sitters are Edmund Burke, Charles James Fox, David Murray the Second Earl of Mansfield, William Henry Cavendish Bentinck the Third Duke of Portland, Alexander Wedderburn the First Earl of Rosslyn (Lord Loughborough), John Montagu the Fourth Earl of Sandwich, Richard Brinsley Sheridan and Louis Weltje.
