Physical description
Satirical print in which Count Otto von Bismarck balances on a the world with one spurred foot entering France, and wearing only his underpants which are marked with the German imperial eagle. Print from a set of caricatures, broadsheets and illustrations in ten volumes. Each volume is half-bound in red leather, gold tooled and stamped with imperial emblems, title etc.

Count Otto von Bismarck (1815-98) balances on the world, which he manipulated to achieve the goal closest to his heart: the unification of Germany under Prussian leadership. With one spurred foot entering France, he almost upsets his own equilibrium as well as the balance of European power.'
