Wine pot and lid of porcelain, globular body with four applied moulded rosettes with openwork centres, the handle and spout are in the form of grotesque lions. Painted in overglaze polychrome enamels and gilding. The centres of the rosettes are gilt and the petals crimson, surrounded by a pink border with detached flowers. In the space between the rosettes are lotus flowers on a black ground and round the neck and foot are floral borders; the lid has a similar border and a gilt openwork knob.
'Earl of Cadogan' sticky label on base.
