Object history | The engraving of 'The Tea Party', engraved by Robert Hancock, appears on pl. 84 of The Artist's Vade Mecum, 3rd edition, published in 1776 This cup and saucer were acquired separately by Lady Charlotte Schreiber, one piece from Solomon's, London, for £3 in July 1868, and the other as a gift from Sir Ivor Guest in February 1873 |
