This is a bronze medal made in Italy in the 16th century. The obverse shows the bust of Pope Gregory XIII, with the inscription "GREGORIVS XIII PONT MAX 10 V MELON." The reverse shows allegorical figures of Justice, Peace and Abundance, with the inscription "JUSTITIA PACEM COPIAM PAX ATTVLIT Armand I 265 5."

Physical description

Obv., bust of Gregory XIII. in cape and skull-cap in the left, raised in benediction in the right. Rev., Justice holding the sword and scales, Peace setting fire to a heap of arms and Abundance holding a cornucopia.
