Colour scene entitled 'Grimaldi & the Alpaca' in the Popular Pantomime of The Red Dwarf, 'now performing with unbounded applause at the Theatre Royal Covent Garden.
This print depicts Grimaldi & The Alpaca in the Popular Pantomime of The Red Dwarf. Joseph Grimaldi stands on the right with white face and cockerel combs, wearing a striped clowns costume resembling a bathing suit and holding a large disc ear-ring of a man dressed as an Aztec. The Aztec wears a blue and gold costume and feathered head-dress. He holds the brown and white alpaca by a floral garland rein, the other end of which is attached to Grimaldi's costume.
