Medal, silver, commemoration of the marriage of Charles I with Henrietta Maria, England, probably 1625
Physical description
Medal depicts on the obverse: the busts of Charles I and his wife and Queen Henrietta Maria, face to face. Above are rays from Heaven. He has a bare head and is in ruff, doublet buttoned, and the Order of the Garter suspended on a ribbon; she, with bejewelled hair, wears earrings, necklace, dress and a stiff ruff.

Reverse: A cupid walking to the right, scattering roses and lilies. FVNDIT.AMOR.LILIA.MIXTA.ROSIS.
