Teapot, of flattened globular form with a curved spout and four short tubular projections applied on the body. Brown stoneware incised with a symbol on the side.

There is one carved symbol on one side of the teapot body. The symbol shows a vase and three halberds inside the vase. This images containing a auspecious meaning, as the vase and three halberds sharing the similar pronounciation of the Chinese term "平升三級." This Chinese terms means "promoted three levels" or "promoted to three levels higher." It indicates that someone has been elevated or promoted to a position or rank that is three levels higher than their previous one.
