Relief, Virgin adoring the Christ Child, della Robbia, second half of the fifteenth century.
Physical description
Relief of enamelled terracotta, with semi-circular tops. The Virgin kneeling and adorning the Infant Saviour; above appears the Almighty Father, surrounded by infant seraphim, whilst a dove is flying towards the Child. The grouo is aurrounded by an egg and tongue band. the background is light blue, and there are remains of gilding. From the Palace of the Familglia Turini in Arezzo, where it was till recently built into the wall.
