Physical description
Seated figures of a man and a woman, porcelain decorated in polychrome enamels and gilt. They sit on either side of a small table, on which stands a bowl containing food. He wears a pale blue long coat with floral designs, and a three-cornered hat, and holds in his right hand a gilt cup. She wears a pink robe with bare chest and a blue hood. Before them is a dog sitting up and a tray.

Object history
The complete model has two figures of children at the sides, a dog, and a monkey, and with other differences. See C.108-1963 for an undecorated version. When the decoration was added the figure group was already much broken.

Displayed in a touring exhibition entitled, "The Exotic European" between 16 January-18 August 1991, including Bristol, Sheffield, Birmingham and Liverpool.
