This proof and two others (E.713-1994 to E.715-1994) demonstrate wood engraver Harry Brockway's (born 1958) use of the reduce block method in order to print in two colours. The book of stamps is at E.710-1994.

Physical description

Wood engraved proof of illustrations,using the reduce block method, for a book of stamps for Royal Mail, a series depicting 20th century Prime Ministers, this one Herbert Asquith and first in the series. A suffragette procession is depicted in the background.
