This bronze medal represents Alexander VI (Rodriguez Lanzol de Borgia) who served as Pope from 1492 to 1503. On the obverse side he is shown to the left, bare-headed and wearing a cope. On the reverse side the Pope and his clergy are shown before the Sacred door. The Scared door at the Vatican is only opened by the Pope in a Jubilee year.
