Medal, of bronze, struck from a die: Sixtus IV. (francesco d' Albescola della Rovere), b. 1414, elected Pope in 1471, d. 1484. Obv., SIXTVS. IIII. PONT. MAX. Bust to left, wearing a cope and papal tiara. Rev. In the exergue, CITA. APERITION. BREVES. AETERNAT. DIES. The Pope breaking open the sacred door with a hammer.
