Provenance: 'Found among the stock of Thomas Avery, builder, etc, of Ivy House, Tenterden, Kent, which business had been in existence nearly a century and a half' (extract from a letter from the donor).

A colour variant of this paper appears in the record books of a firm which is probably that later known as Jeffrey & Co. (see E.431, 432, 432A-1943).
