This is a typical wallpaper of the period, with a simple flower-sprig pattern. It is one of a number of wallpapers donated to the V&A by John Fowler (of the decorating firm Colefax & Fowler). Many of these papers were discovered by him in the various houses for which Colefax & Fowler designed and carried out decorative schemes.
