Provenance: The Long Gallery, Osterley Park, Middlesex.

This fragment was found (along with E.1768-1772-1973) when the Long Gallery was being redecorated in 1972. The blue papers are presumed to be part of the colour scheme introduced by Sir William Chambers for the Long Gallery, which was completed in 1759.
