Object history
The 'joseph' of Atkinson's title is the artist Joseph Beuys. The other 'front pages' in this group are: Thanx Picasso, Thanx Andy [Warhol] and Thanx Jackson [Pollock]. They acknowledge Atkinson's debt to each of these figures, by parodying the front page of actual newspapers with additional pictorial elaborations in a pastiche of each artist's style.
