Half elevation of a chair. Lord Burlington remodelled this seventeenth-century house for Charles, Lord Bruce (his brother-in-law) from 1721 onwards. While early nineteenth-century alterations eradicated most of this work, a few interior details remain of the Burlington-Kent style. 5712.377 is the same type of vase as that made for the gardens at Chiswick (see 5712.79), For a discussion of the chair see 5712.60 For another detail from Tottenham see 5712.412.
