Object history
This loom and its implements, along with a drawing showing the loom in use (T.109D-1922, whereabouts unknown), were brought directly from the house of an Iranian servant of the donor, Dr G.E. Dodson, in Kirman. Up until the loom's removal in about 1920, it had been in regular and everyday use. Before being donated to the V&A it was exhibited at a Church Missionary Society's exhibition.
