This is a bronzed electrotype medal made in the 19th century. This medal was copied from the late 18th century American original signed "J. Manley 1790." The obverse of this medal represents the profile head of George Washington. The reverse shows an inscription "General of the American armies, 1774. Resigned, 1783. President of the United States, 1789."
